Delivery Information

All items are fully insured, carefully blanket wrapped and delivered inside your home or office. Furniture can not be used for the transportation of other items therein, unless included in the quote and agreed upon beforehand.

Quotes

All quotes given through this web site are valid for 30 days from the quote being submitted. In order to receive the quoted price, you must record the quote number and reference that number in all further communications with us. Prices are subject to change if important details are not received in the initial quote request. Such details would include incorrect dimensions, stairs or other obstacles to prevent parking near your building. In case the item has been picked up already and significantly differs from the description in the quote we reserve the right to adjust the quote and deliver only after payment has been received.

Special conditions which must be disclosed include narrow stair cases, no elevator, no truck parking next to building, locations inaccessible to large box trucks, potentially hazardous roadways such as dirt roads or narrow mountain paths, or any other special conditions at either location which may make it difficult for our delivery drivers to pick up or deliver the shipment. TSC Moving reserves the right to either charge an additional fee if this information is not disclosed at quote time, or to refuse inside delivery if undisclosed conditions pose a risk to the safety of our employees, property, or goods in transit.

Quote Transfers

Using the "Transfer Quote" tab above a quote in your account, you are able to transfer ownership of a quote to another individual using their email address. Upon acceptance of the quote, said individual is responsible for payment and for maintaining the correct delivery and contact information for the shipment. 

Quote Confirmation

In order to accept the quote, you must provide full pickup and delivery addresses, as well as valid contact information for both the pick up and delivery. Once this information is filled in, you will be brought immediately to our secure online payment screen where you can pay for your shipment with Visa or Mastercard. Full payment and all valid shipping information are required before we can proceed with the shipment.

Delivery and Pickup Times - Time limitations

Quoted delivery and pickup times are estimates and may fluctuate due to weather, traffic or other conditions beyond our control. We will contact the receiver or shipper with updated times in the case that such conditions occur. All shipments are scheduled based on payment date. Payment must be received a minimum of 72 hours before the truck leaves which will be scheduled to pick up the shipment. Shipments are placed on the next available truck going to the area of pick up or delivery. Shipments are scheduled in the order in which payment is received.

For shipments that need to be delivered by a certain day or in a certain time TSC MOVING will honor this, if at all possible. This needs to be communicated BEFORE the shipment gets paid. Incidents on the road f.e. or unforeseen logistic aspects like running out of space can occasionally interfere obviously, which does not constitute the right for a partial refund. TSC MOVING gives 2 1/2 hour windows for pickups and deliveries to achieve high convenience for our customers. There will be no refunds for pickups or deliveries outside the announced time window, though, because of the numerous factors influencing the schedules on the road.

In general we strongly recommend to include business hours in the quotes to ensure a smooth logistic transaction. This should also be done before or at the time of payment. For time critical shipment business hours MUST be communicated latest at the time of payment for TSC MOVING to schedule appropriately.

Inside Delivery

The TSC Moving service includes delivery into your home, apartment or business. TSC Moving must be informed about relevant obstacles like elevators and staircases at the time of payment. TSC Moving reserves the right, at the time of the delivery, to limit the delivery to curbside or the building entrance if:

  • the building is not accessible by the delivery truck
  • items do not fit through narrow openings or door frames
  • the items do not fit in the elevator or the elevator is not available
  • other relevant obstacles prevent the delivery 
  • relevant delivery information was not given
  • the delivery turns out to bear risks for the delivery team, the building or the shipment
  • time and physical efforts of the delivery go beyond acceptable limits 

Communication

Multiple emails are sent out to both sender and receiver throughout the shipment process. The owner of the quote is responsible for verifying and maintaining this information. Delivery and pickup times are sent through these emails, so it is your responsibility to check emails regularly to be certain of the most current information. In the submission forms, there are fields for Email and three phone numbers. If there are additional ways to contact you or special conditions on any of these methods, please give all details in the Additional Notes of a shipment. Ordinary information is all sent via email, but phone numbers are necessary for the driver to be able to contact someone at the pickup or delivery address in the event of schedule changes or any other complications.

Payment

Payment is required prior to pickup of any shipment. We accept payment via Visa and Mastercard using our secure online payment form or over the phone. We also accept payment via PayPal.

Insurance

All items shipped by TSC MOVING are insured for the documented sale price (not to exceed the submitted value the shipping quote is based on) and the shipping fee. Exceptions are:

- Items boxed or crated by the sender are only covered, if the box or crate suffers significant damage on the outside.
- Documented damages at the time of pickup (f.e. cracks or loose joints) are not covered, even if they get worse during transit.

Cancellation Refunds

Cancellation Refunds are available at any time prior to the 72 hour window before the truck leaves to pick up the shipment. There is a $30 flat free for a cancellation. After the start of the 72 hour window before the truck leaves, a cancellation will be subject to an additional 10% refund deduction. Beginning with the day before the scheduled pick up day any and all refunds are subject to an additional 25% refund deduction. If a pickup has been scheduled but no one is there at the scheduled time to release the shipment, a refund will be subject to an additional 30% deduction. After the item has been picked up, no refund is available.

Redelivery Charge

If a recipient had confirmed the delivery, but no one is available to receive delivery of a scheduled shipment, and other arrangements have not been made with us prior to the day of delivery, the delivery will be rescheduled for the next available truck and a redelivery fee will be assessed at an additional 50% of the original charge.

Shipment Return Charges

TSC Moving charges for the return of shipments to the origin, if the reason lies not within our responsibility. The return fee is between 50% and 100% of the delivery fee depending on the given circumstances.

If a shipment is refused at delivery TSC Moving will try to collect immediate payment for it’s return to the sender. If that is not possible we will pick the shipment up for return on the next possible trip after payment has been made. TSC Moving reserves the right to place the shipment at curbside if both sender and receiver decline responsibility.

Conflicts between Sender and Receiver

In case of an issue between Sender and Receiver of a shipment, f.e. a credit card chargeback or a PayPal dispute, TSC MOVING will follow through with the instructions given by the party who paid for the shipping service.

Delivery Inspection

An authorized recipient must be present at the delivery location to sign for the delivery. Said recipient must sign for the shipment and verify that the piece is in the expected condition. In the event of alleged damage, both the recipient and the driver must document the damage on the lading bill. TSC Moving shall not be held responsible for any damage not properly documented with the driver present at the time of delivery.

Damage Claims

To file a damage claim please inform TSC MOVING within 4 days after the delivery about the damage at info@tscmoving.com. Claim filings later than 4 days after the delivery can be denied without investigation. We will ask you to provide detailed pictures of the damage to be sent to info@tscmoving.com and also a copy of the sales receipt or the payment transaction (specifying the item) to prove the insured value of the damaged piece. In many cases TSC MOVING will retrieve the damaged item and redeliver it after repair. If the recipient has the repair done the refund amount will cover the repair costs up to the insured value (purchase price). If the repair costs exceed the insured value the insured value and the shipping costs will be reimbursed. The damaged item will have to be released to TSC MOVING in this situation. Before authorizing a repair or replacement the recipient needs to submit the estimate to TSC MOVING for approval. In case of previous repairs that came undone TSC MOVING reserves the right to deny the claim, especially if the investigation shows a previous repair had not been done appropriately.
